RailCon is a control system that is:

RailCon is a Digital Command Control (DCC) based system for controlling model railway accessories, such as:

RailCon is a modular concept that comprises a central control unit to decode DCC accessory control commands and activate slave modules to switch points, signals or other accessories.

The central control unit can connect to four slave modules, each of which can control up to two accessory items, depending on the type of accessory. Slave modules are available for switching points, controlling signals, switching accessories such as street lights and driving turntables.

The central control unit can connect to any combination of slave modules. This provides considerable flexibility in the design of the layout control system. A group of points, signals and other accessories in a particular section of the layout can all be controlled from one central control unit.

The RailCon system has been designed for easy, flexible installation and simple operation using any DCC system that conforms to the National Model Railway Association (NMRA) standard. RailCon is also compatible with popular Personal Computer model railway control software.

The modular design and flexibility of the RailCon system allows the model railway control system to be built in stages.
